I have a question regarding my 1968 MGB 40 footer. I bought the impressive stainless steel exhaust that Moss Motors markets. Really nice looking on my car and the sound is mellow but noticeable. Today I found the large (only) muffler, located by the fuel tank, to be rusting and a largish chunk of penney sized rust (deep) in the outlet pipe. I know that cheap stainless will rust, but trusted Moss to supply a quality part. Anyone else experienced this?

Yes, good stainless shouldn't rust, that's why you pay extra for it! The only thing that I could see being at all reasonable would be if the packing in the muffler is plain steel, but I'd still contact Moss, it shouldn't rust.
