Gas Tank Leaks
« on: April 24, 2021, 11:37:47 AM »
I had the gas tank on my MGB cleaned and coated with epoxy. Now I can't get the sending unit to seal.

Does anyone no a trick to stop it from leaking.  I replaced the gasket but that did not help.

After having the fuel tank sealed you reinstalled the sender with new sealing gasket? Were you able to drive the metal sealing ring all the way round to the stop? Any problems with this install?

The last time I did this I think I had a small leak until I tapped the ring fully home using a brass drift.
