Will a 67 MGB GT tranny fit a 70 Midget?

In a word, no.  They are completely different transmissions and engines.  I'm sure you are asking because you have the 67 BGT unit available.  Even so, making the effort and finding a way to adapt one to the other does not pay as you only get an old 3-speed gearbox not suited for the purpose for all your labors.

I'd advise you rebuild the original unit or find a suitable replacement
