Front Suspension Rebuild
« on: November 21, 2021, 07:16:32 PM »
I am getting ready to drop the entire front suspension for a rebuild, My question is would it be easier to remove my springs now, that way I can use my car jack.

And it would be safer.

Any advice would be grateful.

Yes! I would remove the hub. Support the A-arm with a jack. Remove upper trunnion pin and separate the joint from the shock and slowly lower the jack to remove springs first.

Having done that a few years ago I sprayed degreaser all over everything, let it soak then pressure washed it clean.

It made working on it much more enjoyable.

Nice project enjoy!
